Best Selling Skateboard In The World - Element Skateboard

The Element skateboard is one of the best selling skateboard brands in the world. Created in Atlanta, Georgia in 1992, the Element skateboard has taken the world by storm, spawning a wide range of skateboard decks, trunks, wheels, and even a clothing and footwear line. The main reasons why the Element skateboard is so popular is that the quality of the products used in their designs are exceptional, the marketing of the Element skateboard is positive and well thought out, and the company that produces the skateboards stands for something greater than themselves. When the Element company was formed their main goal was simple, to be the best that they could be. That philosophy has made the Element skateboard one of the most sought after skateboard brands in the industry.

Understanding The Element Brand

Element Skateboard

The Element skateboard comes in a wide variety of woods, wheels, designs, and decks. Many of their signature designs are named after the individuals on the Team Element skateboarding team. One of the most popular Element skateboard designs is the skateboard designed for Bam Margera, a Team Element skateboarder and pop icon from MTV's Jackass series and his own television show, Viva La Bam. Each design is an original creation from the minds of some of the best skateboarders in the nation and it shows. The Element skateboard is considered the skateboard with the smoothest ride and the best balance for doing tricks.

The logo for the Element skateboard and other offerings from the company is a circle with a stick figure like tree in the center and the four major elements (Earth, Air, Fire, and Water) in block letters around the outside of the circle. The logo represents the life of the natural wood, the skateboarder's connection with the board, and the connection of all living things through the four elements. Besides the Element skateboard and associated customization products, the company has also launched their own line of clothing and footwear, all designed with the philosophy of the company in mind. All of the footwear is designed to grip and hold a rider to the skateboard and the clothing is breathable and loose to add to the comfort of the rider and keep the body temperature down while riding.

The Growth Of Element

In 2001, the Element company was purchased by Billabong International. The company is now the sponsor of many events, including many charity events for underprivileged children, and has created the Element Awareness organization to educate individuals about wilderness conservation. Many children have received scholarships to Element skateboard camps, where they can learn how to skateboard in professional facilities and meet professional skateboarders in person. Although the company began with just the Element skateboard, it has branched out into something more and has kept the philosophy of being the best that they can, both in company endeavors and in community spirit. The goal of Element was continuous growth in all aspects of life, which is a goal that they have accomplished extremely well.
